The 5th Annual Vacation Rental Data and Revenue Management (DARM) Conference is returning to Nashville, December 5 – 7, at the Omni Nashville Hotel downtown. With over 50 sessions and 130 speakers, the DARM Conference — presented by VRM Intel and TRACK — brings the top minds in the vacation rental industry together to blend education with information and executive discussions designed to review 2023’s performance, analyze predictive indicators for 2024, and provide tactics, tools, and insight to navigate changes and set companies up for success.
This year’s keynotes are Will Guidara, best-selling author of Unreasonable Hospitality, and Shaun Stewart, formerly of Airbnb, Waymo, and NewLab. Led by emcee AJL CEO Simon Lehmann, additional keynote speakers include Vacasa COO John Banczak, Key Data CEO Jason Sprenkle, and AirDNA Chief Economist Jamie Lane; and the DARM Battleground will return as technology providers pitch new products in a grueling timed Shark-Tank-styled competition.
“Will Guidara is the man of the hour, and we are incredibly excited to have him at DARM this year, as this is his first conference in the vacation rental industry,” said Amy Hinote, founder of VRM Intel and the DARM Conference. “If you or your team hasn’t read Unreasonable Hospitality yet, definitely get it.”
Hinote continued, “Shaun Stewart returns to DARM as the speaker most highly requested, largely due to his unique ability to predict what’s coming down the pipeline in technology for our industry. This conference has evolved into a high-level technology forum in addition to the revenue management, data, marketing and distribution education. All of the US VR/STR enterprise-level technology providers are going to be there.”
The 2023 DARM Conference has 7 educational and discussion tracks: Foundational Revenue Management, Advanced Revenue Management, Distribution and Marketing, Data, Technology and AI, Finance and Risk Management, and Executive Forums.
As part of the announcements for 2023, DARM is partnering with RevProf, the newly formed association of vacation rental and short-term rental revenue managers, for revenue management education. Founded by Sarah Franzen, John deRoulet, Jordan Locke, and Emily Patillo, this nonprofit community aims to “further professionalize the discipline by supporting connection, collaboration, education, standardization, and innovation in the industry.”
