Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., 8 April 2026 — Short-term rental analytics company, Key Data, has appointed Dustin Downing as President, marking a significant step in the company’s next phase of growth as it expands its product capabilities and strengthens its position as the data backbone of the short-term rental industry.
Downing joins Key Data with nearly two decades of experience building and scaling technology platforms across data-driven industries, with a strong foundation in travel and hospitality. His appointment reflects Key Data’s focus on advancing its product offering, accelerating AI-driven innovation, and expanding reach across a rapidly evolving market.
He began his career at Sabre Corporation, spending nearly a decade there and rising to Senior Director of Product Management. In that time, he helped shape core products including the Sabre Red Workspace, while contributing to the company’s developer ecosystem and broader traveler experience. The role gave him a deep expertise in how data infrastructure underpins complex travel operations at scale.
Following Sabre, Downing served as Product Director at LTK, where he led product development across its brand and influencer platforms and helped launch the company’s creator app. Most recently, he was Chief Product Officer and General Manager at OrderMyGear, where he spent six years scaling the technology organization, launching a new platform, leading three acquisitions, and supporting the company’s 2025 merger with Inktavo.
At Key Data, Downing will focus on three priorities: accelerating product and AI capabilities, strengthening the company’s go-to-market strategy, and investing in the operational infrastructure required to support continued growth.
His appointment comes at a time when demand for accurate, real-time market intelligence is increasing across the short-term rental sector, particularly as operators navigate shifting booking behavior, demand strategies, and the growing role of AI in decision-making.
Dustin Downing, President at Key Data, said: “Key Data has built something special, with a proprietary, contributory dataset connected directly to property management systems across the industry. Having spent much of my career in travel technology, I’ve seen how powerful that kind of foundation can be. As AI reshapes how operators make decisions, the companies with the deepest, most trusted data will define the next phase of the industry. There is a clear opportunity to build on what has already been created and establish Key Data as the intelligence layer that the entire short-term rental ecosystem depends on.”
Key Data continues to expand its global footprint, providing performance benchmarking, forward-looking insights, and market intelligence to property managers, owners, investors, and destination organizations.
