New capability enables hosts to connect AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude to their PMS, unlocking customizable workflows and new ways to operate
SAN FRANCISCO, 7 APRIL 2026 โ Property management software Hospitable has launched an official Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, becoming the first STR PMS to do so. This enables direct integration between property management systems and AI agents such as ChatGPT and Claude.
The release gives hosts and property managers a new level of control over how they use their PMS, allowing AI tools to securely access and act on Hospitable data including reservations, guest communication, calendars, and financial information.
By connecting an AI agent to Hospitable, users can go beyond the platformโs existing features and tailor how it works to their own operations. Hosts can connect the AI tools they already use and apply them directly to their Hospitable data, shaping workflows, automations, and day-to-day processes around how they actually run their business.
Once connected, an AI agent can operate within the PMS, using its data and capabilities to retrieve information, analyze bookings, identify patterns in guest communication, and take action in real time, including sending messages or triggering workflows. For example, a host could ask an agent to review the next 60 days of bookings, flag gaps in occupancy or pricing inconsistencies, and act on those insights directly within the system.
As the MCP evolves, capabilities will expand into areas such as pricing, task management, and operational settings, enabling AI agents to play a broader role across day-to-day operations.
The MCP server translates Hospitableโs platform into a structured, permission-based environment that AI agents can understand and act on, giving users the flexibility to apply their own AI tools directly to how their business runs.
The launch reflects a broader shift in how technology is being used across the short-term rental sector. As AI tools become more capable, the opportunity is no longer just automation, but customization. Hospitableโs approach enables operators to shape the platform around their business, using AI to adapt it to their specific needs.
Pierre-Camille Hamana, CEO and Founder of Hospitable, said: โWeโve always known that no two hosting businesses operate in the same way, and thatโs part of what makes this industry so dynamic. With MCP, weโre opening up the platform so our users can bring their own ideas, their own workflows, and now their own AI agents into the way they run their business. Itโs not about adding more features, itโs about giving people the ability to build exactly what they need on top of the data they already have.โ
The MCP server is available immediately to users on Hospitableโs Host, Professional, and Mogul plans.
Launched in 2016 as a time-saving PMS, Hospitable has evolved into a short-term rental super app that goes beyond traditional property management, automating guest messaging with AI, optimizing nightly rates, managing rental agreements and security deposits, coordinating teams, and powering direct booking websites with built-in payments and property protection.
